Once the Embark team confirms that they can help and you’re ready to engage, confirmed by the signing of a standard Engagement Letter, there will be a one-time flat fee assessed and collected.  Bridging/connections can then commence. 

Our team commits to make warm introductions to their respective networks within a week of your formally meeting them and continue to do so over the next 30-45 days.  Their role is to make the connection and then step away.  How long it takes for you and that connection to engage and, hopefully solidify a relationship, is in your hands. 

Meet our team

Robert Gangi has 20+ years of experience in Commercial and Small Business Lending, leading teams and regions in support of businesses in the government contracting, healthcare, international, and Commercial & Industrial spaces. In his banking tenure, Mr. Gangi was employed by banks across the size and focus spectrum including UPS Capital Business Credit, Commerce/TD Bank, Sandy Spring Bank, Citibank, and First Citizens Bank, and continues to be well connected to traditional and non-traditional banking and financing institutions.

Sandwiched between his retail and lending stints in banking, Mr. Gangi enjoyed 13+ years in the advertising and marketing industry, designing and managing educational programs with large pharmaceutical companies including Glaxo Smith Kline, Merck, Eli Lily, and Pfizer. As co-founder of QSI Incorporated, he and the team won several awards for innovative approaches in both design and content.

Mr. Gangi has been consistently involved in his community, supporting organizations such as the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce (DRCC), where he created and managed several committees as well as serving as the Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Board for the DRCC from 2014-2016.

Since leaving banking in late 2019, Mr. Gangi has settled in well after re-opening his own consulting practice, supporting small- to mid-sized businesses with a focus on business development, branding, operational- and banking-related engagements. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and lives in Centreville, Virginia with his wife and two children.

Patrick Dine is currently CEO of PSD Global Inc. He successfully established multiple European firms in the USA and has been a member of a range of corporate and non-profit boards. He has also sat on the boards of chambers of commerce in Mexico, Germany and South Africa.

Patrick frequently speaks on topics related to international business and has served as an advisor on international affairs to US presidential campaigns as well as foreign heads of State.

David Cole is a partner with Holland & Knight’s corporate and securities groups. He assists public and private companies to complete domestic and overseas merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions; raise equity and debt capital in public and private securities offerings; and obtain financing through private equity and venture capital investments. Mr. Cole also assists funds to acquire and divest portfolio companies, and he represents borrowers and lenders in connection with senior credit facilities and other debt financing. Mr. Cole has closed more than $2 billion worth of debt capital and other securities offerings.

Mr. Cole also leads the firm’s Korea practice. Mr. Cole has helped companies acquire and sell businesses in the government contractor, information technology, electronics, SaaS, automotive, clean-tech, renewable energy, chemical, retail and media industries; conducted public offerings for financial services, technology, and energy companies, government contractors, real estate investment trusts (REITs), natural resource extractors and manufacturers; and represented lead arrangers of syndicated credit facilities and borrowers in the same industries. He previously acted as in-house counsel for the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres.

EXPERIENCE

Jennifer leads a team of educated accounting professionals and CPAs specializing in CFO services and systems implementations for federal contractors, nonprofits, law firms and small businesses.  With more than 25 years of expertise in corporate and public accounting, Jennifer has a passion for entrepreneurship, client engagement, and relationship building. Her goal is to ensure all Watts Group clients receive the high-quality, individualized services they need. ​Jennifer spends much of her time offering strategic advice and providing technical oversight on accounting and tax matters. She also works hard to manage team priorities and professional development.  Prior to launching Watts Group, Jennifer served as CFO for a start-up and as Controller for a $200M for-profit company. EXPERIENCE

Scott Mendelson is a 25+ year vet in the commercial real estate world.  He has worked for both the large publicly-traded firms as well as the more boutique organizations.  In 2007 he co-founded Edge Commercial, which is a full-service commercial real estate company focused on Tenant Services, Landlord Leasing, Property & Asset Management, Multi-Family Services, & Investment Sales.

Scott co-heads the Tenant Advisory Practice for Edge along with leading in general business development for all the Edge verticals.

On the Tenant Advisory side, he typically helps companies that are headquartered in the Washington D.C but with needs that span across the country.

His commitment and willingness to provide extremely high quality customer service, in this very competitive commercial real estate industry, is one of the true strengths Scott brings to EDGE.

EXPERIENCE

Mike Cippel is a Partner at Cordia Partners, providing accounting outsourcing and advisory services to government contractors and various other professional services organizations.

Mike has over twenty years of professional experience managing finance and accounting operations including analysis and reporting, indirect rate development, DCAA submissions, revenue recognition and strategic planning. Mike assists clients in the development and implementation of accounting policies & procedures, FAR/CAS compliance, technical GAAP issues, cost and pricing support, and DCAA audit support.

Prior to joining Cordia Partners, Mike was the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and Pricing for a mid-sized government contractor. In addition, Mike’s background includes corporate finance operations experience in both the Government Contracting and Commercial arenas.

Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and has an MBA from Virginia Tech.
